Life from my Locker

agh
Dry-erase boards
why does everybody tell me to put a dry erase board in my locker?
a) you never stop to stare at your door when you are rushing to a class or your bus
b) even if you did you wouldn’t have time to write on it
c) even if you did, you would not stop, grab a marker and write something on it, and remember to check to see what you wrote on it earlier
d) it would be a scribble. it’d probably look like a hurricane on a weather forecast
so basically, they are useless and take up space
Lockers
That one little sliver of space that you can call your own for 180 days of your life. For some people, Its their home away from home. For some people, it just sits there and collects dust. Me? I prefer the first option. It makes things WAAAAAAy easier.
What I have and/or must keep in my locker:
a locker shelf thing that hopefully fits
an organizer
3 pencil holders
lots of writing utensils, pencils and pens ALWAYS get lost, so i have about 36 pencils that can stay in my locker, and i need more than 8 pens…
HAIR TIES, for those days when I just cant stand my hair (and my friends probably stole my first one)
bobby pins
hair clips
post-it notes
chap stick, i need it in winter…
$, not much, but still, just in case
extra notebook
band-aids, in case of an emergency
hand sanitizer
deodorant
lotion
a hair bush
tampons and pads, they are needed
crayons, trust me
and my coloring book, again, trust me. there is a lot of drama in middle school and high school, and sometimes, people just cant take it. If one of your friends, or you, or just a complete stranger is struggling through something like stress or a break-up, take them over to your locker during lunch or free period and scribble your troubles away.

OMG
Gym Lockers
What i will be keeping in my gym locker at all times:
HAIR TIES-I almost always wear my hair up anyway, but I am training myself to ear it down because my friends always steal my hair ties :’(
socks- I like wearing flip flops and shoes and whatever so I don’t always wear socks. once I went through gym without a pair of socks, and it was painful.
tampons- they are needed
deodorant- oh this is MAJOR I cant go around the rest of the day smelling like sweat, its disgusting
Hand sanitizer- its not needed but i have it and hey, its good to have
Hair clips- i have side bangs and i like to clip them back so they aren’t in my face
Mirror- trying to use the few mirrors actually in the locker room is a pain, so im just going to bring my own, so much easier!
Lotion- i dont use it every single class but, hey, ya never know
etc.- i am not sure yet

Lunch.
That hour of the day you can fill your deprived stomach, socialize with their friends, catch up on homework, study for that really big test you forgot was tomorrow, fix your makeup, comfort a friend struggling to get over a break-up, blah, blah, who knows! Well, everybody has to eat.
I need food. Plain. Simple. But what can i eat? i wont eat cafeteria food because
a) too many students in my school eating at one time
b) its known to be terrible and i dont trust it
and c) why buy when i can bring?
sooo… what can i bring?
well, i am not really a sandwich person, so those are out, and most people would say “whaaat? thats all you CAN bring!!!” FALSE my friends, FALSE!
okay sooo i have come up with a list of what i can bring for lunches (a lot of it is just stuff to cook the night before or, when it is made for dinner, just make more of it and either freeze it or leave it in the fridge), and little things that i can bring to go along with it all (two seperate lists, just mix and match for your own pleasure)
what can i bring for lunch?:
- leftovers
-fried rice
-noodles
(i think you can see my love for chinese and japanese food)
-bagel
-pasta
-salad (fruit salad, and/or oriental chicken (oh wow more chinese food))
-cavatelli (a form of pasta my mom cooks with broccoli and/or garlic)
- beef or chicken kabobs found in a cookbook that if taken off a skewer and packed with fruit, or rice, or some other side dish, can be made into a salad
etc. to go with anything from above:
-fruit snacks
-granola bar
-fruit: banana, peaches, raspberries
-chips
-pretzels
-cereal
-crackers
-orange juice
-v8 fusion
-other forms of fruit juice
-hawaiian punch
-iced tea
-water
i hope you found my food cravings/shopping list/ food helpful!
Make School Fun?
Okay so i spend a bit of time on Yahoo Answers and one of the most common questions is “Why is school so boring?” otherwise “how can i make school fun?”
Well, its how you make it out to be, if you want school to be fun, and you try seeing all the fun things about it, your experience will be more, well, fun. If you just wonder why it is so boring all the time and focus on all the negative aspect of it, you will just find all the boring aspects of school.
If you are one of those people who are having difficulty finding that fun, here are a few ways you can MAKE it fun, or at least get you through the year.
Ick, Mondays. Everybody hates them. They are always the hardest to get through. So, why not wear your favorite outfit or t-shirt? or just dress really comfortably? (just don’t fall asleep) You could also pack a favorite lunch, or treat? If you buy lunch, you could still just bring a cookie or something, just because.
If you study after school, try and get some friends to study together. You don’t need to be in the same classes, just all lounge around the same room with a few snacks, but concentrate on the studying.
If you are finding it unusually difficult to get it through a certain week, plan something on the weekend so you have something to look forward to and to keep you going.
Join a club or activity that interests you. Everyone tends to have more fun that way, but don’t join because your mom suggested it or just because, make sure you LIKE it. If you don’t like one, go find another, there is bound to be atleast one in your school that you will like.
Good luck! I hope you have fun this school year!
